North Chatham School to get an Extreme Makeover on May 22…
On Sunday morning, May 22, we will "leave the building" to engage our world for good through a day of community
service. We’re going to give the school where we have worshipped for several years, North Chatham School, an "Extreme Makeover."
This work will be done in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ from Chatham Community Church. Come join us!
8:30 am-Meet at NCS for project assignments
9:00 am-Work day begins
12:00 pm – Picnic lunch at NCS with Chatham Community Church
Please bring a picnic lunch for your family plus one additional
person so that we have enough for our guests to join us. Please
also bring chairs, blankets, and outdoor games for the picnic.
A few other reminders for the day: (1) wear "work" clothes and bring
work gloves if you have them, (2) pray for good weather as most of our
projects are outside.
Volunteers will be assigned to teams on Sunday morning. Here is a list of some of our projects:
- Rebuilding arbor in courtyard
- Landscaping-weeding, mulching, and planting
- Painting picnic tables
- Teacher appreciation-thank you notes to faculty
- Indoor painting
- Repairing bulkhead wall around playground area (large project!)
Bring your family and friends to enjoy a day of service
together. There will be plenty for your kids to do along with you. This
is a great time to connect with people in the church while being a
blessing to others.
If you have questions, please contact Pastor Mindy Douglas Adams at firstname.lastname@example.org.
