The Parents’ Ask and Receive Mission is designed to further our goals of supporting both our local and global community by connecting those in need of costly childcare items with those who may have those items in surplus.
In practice, the Ask and Receive Mission will directly link clients of partner organizations here in Chatham/Orange Counties who request items like pack and plays, strollers, high chairs and other big ticket child items to an audience of parents who are ready to let their gently used items go and want them to find a good home away from a landfill.
We will connect donors and recipients by regularly accepting requests from clients of our partner organizations, we will then send these requests to a list of donors who have opted in to receive these requests. If you have an item on the list, you can reply directly and we’ll set-up a time for you to either bring it to the church or we can come get it from you. We’ll then deliver that item to our partner organization for the client to pick-up.
You can participate in two wayss:
If you are interested in joining the organizational team for this mission, please connect directly with Greg Behr.
If you are a parent or grandparent with a current or possible future surplus of childcare items, click here to complete a form to join our donor mailing list.
We hope to have everything rolling this year.
Thank you so much for your time and attention!
