Taizé Around the Manger December 21

TAIZÉ:
A monastic community in France,
known for its international ministries of
Hospitality and Reconciliation
Contemplation and Services of Prayer
“The Songs and Chants of Taizé”

Taizé Services of Prayer generally include:

Chants and meditative songs: short, simple, and easily sung or chanted in a repetitive style that gradually penetrates the depths of one’s heart and whole being.

  • As we begin singing “Silent Night” you’ll be asked to light a candle if you wish, so please have a candle ready to light and hold during the song.

Silent Meditation:  “Silence is essential in discovering the heart of prayer… Often God’s voice comes in a whisper, in a breath of silence…” — Brother Roger, Founder of Taizé
