A Partnership Formed by Chapel in the Pines, Breakaway Cafe, and the Farm at Penny Lane
In response to COVID restrictions and through a partnership between Chapel in the Pines, The Farm at Penny Lane and Breakaway Cafe, meals prepared by Breakaway Cafe are delivered by employees at Penny Lane to people living in tents in Chatham and Wake Counties.
The farm at Penny lane is an innovative community-based initiative to serve people impacted by chronic health conditions including serious mental illness. The farm is owned and operated by XDS Inc., a local nonprofit in partnership with UNC Center for Excellence in community mental health and many other local community-based organizations. for more information, please visit www.xdsinc.org
