Fuel Up Program Follow-up

The following message was sent via email on March 16, 2020

We are humbled by the generosity and quick response from our supporters. Our needs have been met. Because of the dedication from you, we have 44 bags ready for distribution with enough food for two weeks. We cannot thank you enough for being flexible and shopping over the weekend and providing the monetary support needed to get the food into the hands of our students. THANK YOU!

For anyone who would continue to help provide for those with food insecurity, please support CORA, Chatham county’s not-for-profit food pantry. They are in need of food and volunteers.

The Chatham County School System announced that beginning Tuesday, March 17, breakfast and lunch will be available for free for children under 18 at Pittsboro Elementary School, Virginia Cross Elementary School and Siler City Elementary School. Breakfast will be from 8-11 am and lunch will be from 11 am-2 pm. Adults will also be able to purchase meals during those times at a charge of $2 for breakfast and $4 for lunch. The school system is also working toward other mobile services and locations to provide meals for students moving forward. Please share this information on your social media platforms as we work together to feed Chatham county.

Thank you,
