Message Regarding Contributions
We are in good financial shape as we enter the COVID-19 period of our country’s life. A number of members paid off their stewardship pledges at the beginning of the year, so our cash position is strong for now while accessing those early payments.
We do indeed depend on receiving pledge payments each month via the mail, online and in the offering baskets. The latter is the primary concern when worship services are cancelled.
Members have asked what they can do to ensure that we can make payroll well into the future, pay utility bills, make mortgage payments, provide funds to the community via Mission & Service’s budget, etc. Here are a few suggestions:
- If you normally place checks in the offering baskets to make stewardship pledge payments, please mail them to the church so that those funds continue to replenish the church’s checking account OR go to our website to the DONATE button at the bottom of the home page and make your payment there (it’s our passing of the “virtual basket”);
- If you normally place checks or currency in the offering baskets in lieu of a formal pledge, please continue to do so via the mail or via the DONATE button on the website;
- If you are in a position to either pay off some of your pledge early, or in a position to make an additional non-pledged gift, please do so via a check in the mail or the DONATE button.

Thank you for your continued support of Chapel in the Pines during these challenging times. We look forward to the day when we can pass the peace and offering baskets once again in worship. In the meantime, God bless you all.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
