We gratefully announce some wondeful news!

At the meeting of Salem Presbytery in Winston Salem yesterday, 34 of you gathered to represent Chapel in the Pines!

Following Mary Donna Pond's wonderful presentation of our church's history and current mission, the presbytery approved our organization as a congregation on May 4, 2008 at 3 pm!

I hope you will all be able to join us on this momentous day in May!

Also at the meeting, Salem Presbytery voted to give us $100,000 toward the purchase of our land (12 acres) off Mann's Chapel Road! The purchase should be completed in July 2008!

Finally, Salem Presbytery approved the call of Mindy Douglas Adams to be the installed pastor of Chapel in the Pines.

All votes were unanimous.
